The task was to create a series of quarterly, event-specific invitations targeted toward recruiting new physicians into the MDVIP program. The goal was to redirect dinner meeting events into regionally tailored special events. The solution was to develop eye-catching and effective direct mail invitations, on target with MDVIP’s brand look, that a cut through the visual clutter of the physicians’ mail receipt.
The first of these events was NavyFest 2017 for the Navy Midshipmen vs. Air Force Falcons football game. The piece was designed and mailed under an extremely tight timeline of only three weeks from initiation to in-home date, and despite the disruption of Hurricane Irma, the job was printed and fulfilled on time.
To meet the timeline, an off-the-shelf, dimensional piece was sourced. It is structurally unique, with pull tabs on both sides to reveal additional content. A letter-sized bifold wrap was added to the exterior of the invitation to solve for the inclusion of an RSVP form. The mailer was then inserted into a clear poly envelope.
In addition to the direct mail pieces, printed flyers and email banners were designed as needed. Additional events included a 2017 Cincinnati Reds vs. Boston Red Sox game, a Newport Beach Sailing Charter sunset cruise and Rusty Wallace's Racing Experience.
