The children's coloring planogram in Office Depot stores was in need of fun and effective wayfinder messaging. The request was to co-brand the signage with the two biggest brands in the run, the national brand Crayola and the Private Brand Scholastic. The channel signage first focused its messaging at the category level to promote the word "color" and then inspired through the engaging, active verbs: imagine, create, and explore, The color palette used was vibrant and youthful. Thick, three-dimensional diecut lug-ons were used to emphasize these action words and create visual movement. The typography was layered and playful. Lifestyle and product images were included on each header to align to the age range of the items in each 4-foot set without directly delineating the section as a whole.
