Serious Ink promotional campaign—temporary tattoos included!

Office Depot's Merchandising and Marketing executive leadership approached the creative team to design and produce a promotional kit for TUL writing instruments using the theme "Serious Ink". The challenge was to deliver the kit with a big "wow" factor within 30 days. The kit was requested to be a substantial piece to be sent to the executive committee, members of the board, PR outlets and preferred customers. Then, pieces of the kit were to be redesigned and reused for an internal employee promotional event.
The solution was themed after a tattoo artist's case. The case itself was sourced off-the-shelf to meet the extremely tight deadline. The newly designed Serious Ink wordmark and TUL brand logo were applied to the face of the locking metal case. The kit included four TUL writing instruments housed in a custom-molded foam insert. A vellum cover sheet was used to reveal the writing instruments underneath. The case also included a marketing collateral folio printed on a foil stock. The folio housed a sheet of temporary tattoos, which was custom illustrated for the kit.
Standing floor banners were designed for the employee promotional event, which we called TUL Tuesday. The banners were strategically placed around the Office Depot main campus headquarters. The banners were also designed for reuse for inside sales organization events and tradeshows.
T-shirts were designed for members of the Private Brand team that hosted the TUL Tuesday event. At the event, employees participated in activities such as handwriting analyses and promotional giveaways. Blue sky graphics were concepted for the building's exterior.
